Sake Sommelier of the Year Award Ceremony

On October 25th, Sake Sommelier of the Year Award Ceremony hosted by Sake Sommelier Association was held at the Japanese Ambassador’s residence.
Sake Sommelier Association is based in the UK, and this is the first time that they have organized the Sake Sommelier of the Year outside the UK.
7 Sake Sommeliers from Australia, India, Hong Kong, Singapore, U.S., sake breweries and sake import / export companies took part in the ceremony. At the ceremony, Ambassador Miyagawa announced that Mr. Brett Goss from Hong Kong was the winner of the 2019 Sake Sommelier of the Year competition.
In addition, after the ceremony, participants enjoyed tasting various sake and combination with some foods. They also exchange views on promotion on sake in Malaysia.
