On January 12, Ambassador Oka made a visit to Y.B. Tuan Khairy Jamaluddin, Minister of Science Technology and Innovation, and discussed a low earth orbital micro satellite system project by Japanese universities and a Malaysian venture company.
Building up on the excellent track record of wide-ranging cooperation between Japan and Malaysia, including in the science and technology field, they agreed to continue to further enhance cooperation in the space development field.
