Courtesy call on Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities

On 12th October, Ambassador Oka paid a courtesy call on Y.B. Datuk Dr Hajjah Zuraida binti Kamaruddin, Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities. At the meeting, Ambassador Oka explained to Y.B. Datuk Dr Hajjah Zuraida about the efforts put in place by the Government of Japan and the business sector to enhance the sustainability of the palm industry such as joint research on the utilization of Palm Oil Trunk (OPT), advanced treatment of Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME) and drone utilization for more effective oil palm plantation management.
Ambassador Oka and Y.B. Datuk Dr Hajjah Zuraida agreed to promote cooperation between Japan and Malaysia in the palm industry during the meeting.
