On 13th March 2023, the Embassy of Japan hosted a presentation ceremony of the Japanese Foreign Minister’s Commendation to Dato’ Haji Sahariman bin Haji Hamdan, President of Malaysia Homestay Association.
Dato’ Haji Sahariman has promoted the bilateral friendship and tourism cooperation between Japan and Malaysia by encouraging homestays and programs to experience Malaysian village life and eco-tourism in Malaysia for over 25 years. The award honors his outstanding contribution to strengthening relations between Japan and Malaysia.
