METI Parliamentary Vice-Minister Iwata and Ambassador Takahashi attended the Panasonic Look East Policy (LEP) 40th anniversary event

On August 11, Parliamentary Vice-Minister Iwata of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and Ambassador Takahashi attended the Panasonic LEP 40th Anniversary Event.
At the event, Parliamentary Vice-Minister Iwata gave a congratulatory speech while looking back on Panasonic's history in Malaysia.
"I appreciate the role that Panasonic has been playing in the economic development of both Japan and Malaysia, such as contributing to 1% of Malaysia's GDP and creating jobs for about 20,000 people. I look forward to Panasonic’s contribution to the further development of the Look East Policy and the evolution of the bilateral relations," said Parliamentary Vice-Minister Iwata in his speech.
In the event, the video made by Panasonic staff who studied in Japan was also shown and their views on the LEP ware shared
