Ambassador Shikata Attends Opening Ceremony of Otafuku Sauce Malaysia’s New Office and Factory

On 10th December, Ambassador Shikata Noriyuki attended the opening ceremony of the new office and factory of Otafuku Sauce Malaysia held in Negeri Sembilan.
At the ceremony, Ambassador Shikata referred to Otafuku Sauce’s history as a leading Japanese food company founded in Hiroshima in 1922, which has grown over more than 100 years with a strong commitment to quality and craftsmanship. He also welcomed the growing popularity in Malaysia of Japanese food culture, including dishes such as Okonomiyaki and Takoyaki.
The Ambassador Shikata further emphasized the power of food to connect people, and expressed his hope that halal-certified Japanese food products will become more widely accepted in Malaysian society, deepening understanding of Japanese food culture and contributing to the further development of friendly relations between Japan and Malaysia.
