Webinar “Economic Security, Cyber Domain, and Technology: Vulnerabilities and Prospects for Cooperation in the Indo-Pacific”

On 17 June, cooperating with Embassy of Japan in Malaysia and the Australian High Commission Malaysia, Maritime Institute of Malaysia (MIMA) held the Webinar titled “Economic Security, Cyber Domain, and Technology: Vulnerabilities and Prospects for Cooperation in the Indo-Pacific” in an online form. In this webinar, Ambassador Oka made a Welcoming Note, stating on importance of digital technologies and cyber security on building back better after COVID-19 pandemic. Following that, Datuk Isham Ishak, Secretary-General, Ministry of Transport Malaysia made the Keynote Address, and experts from the countries, including Malaysia, discussed challenges, efforts and perspective in cybersecurity and economic security in maritime areas, especially in the Indo-Pacific region.
