On the 15th of November, Ambassador Oka attended a farewell luncheon hosted by Dato’ Kamarudin Jaffar, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Ambassador Oka received appreciation from Deputy Minister for Ambassador’s dedication for the past two years in strengthening the bilateral relationship and cooperation between Japan and Malaysia, and Deputy Minister showed his expectation for the forthcoming 40th anniversary of the Look East Policy in 2022 and the planned establishment of a branch campus of University of Tsukuba in 2023.
Ambassador Oka expressed his expectation for further development of the relationship between Japan and Malaysia as strategic partners, especially with the occasion of the forthcoming 40th anniversary of the Look East Policy and the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Japan and Malaysia in 2022, and asked for further cooperation to Deputy Minister.
