The partnership between Tourism Malaysia and Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang in support of Visit Malaysia 2026

On Thursday, February 12, Minister Nihei Daisuke, the Embassy of Japan,  attended the signing ceremony where Tourism Malaysia and Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang (MOP KLIA) formalized a strategic partnership to support Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026) through the launch of the Tourist Privilege Card campaign.
 
In his remarks, Minister Nihei highlighted that MOP KLIA, with its warm hospitality, contributes to tourism promotion as a gateway, and, together with KLIA which was designed by Kurokawa Kisho, a Japanese architect, serves as a symbol of friendship between Japan and Malaysia. Minister Nihei also stated that the Japanese government and companies will work closely to ensure the success of VM2026.
 
The ceremony was also attended by YB Tuan Chiew Choon Man, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) and Mr. Chua Choon Hwa, Deputy Secretary General (Tourism).
