Conferment Ceremony of the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette for Mr. Kumaraguru Ramayah, Associate Professor, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia

On 13th June, the Embassy of Japan hosted a conferment ceremony of the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette for Mr. Kumaraguru Ramayah, Associate Professor, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).
Mr. Kumaraguru has contributed to promoting Japanese language education in Malaysia and mutual understanding between Japan and Malaysia. He established Japanese language course at UTM and upgraded UTM into a hub for Japanese language education in southern Malaysia. In addition, he has contributed to training Japanese language teachers in cooperation with Japanese universities.
This award honors his remarkable contributions in strengthening relations between Japan and Malaysia.
