On 17th July, Ambassador Oka attended the Grand Send-off of the Malaysian athletes at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). After the speech by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin to encourage the athletes, Ambassador Oka, alongside the Prime Minister, Minister of Youth and Sports, Datuk Seri Reezal Merican, and President of Olympic Council of Malaysia, Tan Sri Norza Zakaria saw off the Malaysian contingent leaving for Tokyo to participate in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Ambassador Oka and the Embassy of Japan in Malaysia are anticipating and hoping for the Malaysian athletes to perform their best and achieve great victories at the Tokyo 2020. Ganbatte, Malaysia!
