On November 2, Ambassador Oka and his wife paid a courtesy visit on Mr. Chow Kon Yeow, the Chief Minister of Penang. The meeting was joined by Mr. Orikasa, Japanese Consul General in Penang.
Ambassador Oka conveyed his deep gratitude to the Chief Minister for the support extended by the State of Penang to the Japanese residents and Japanese companies operating in Penang. Ambassador Oka and Chief Minister agreed that Penang offers a variety of unique attractiveness for Japanese people ranging from natural environment and quality infrastructure.
