At the meeting, Ambassador Takahashi expressed his appreciation for the close cooperation between Japan and Malaysia in the fields of higher education. In addition, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen the bilateral relations between Japan and Malaysia through the establishment of University of Tsukuba Branch Campus, the development of MJIIT and other collaborations by seizing the opportunity of the 40th anniversary of the Look East Policy last year and the 50th Year of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation this year.
