On the 13th of February, the charity concert featuring a world-renowned violinist, Ms. Akiko Suwanai, was held by Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) at Petronas Philharmonic Hall in collaboration with the Embassy of Japan. Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad and Tun Dr. Siti Hasmah, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dato Mohamad Ariff and his spouse, as well as a number of other dignitaries attended the concert.
On the 14th of February, the Embassy of Japan hosted a welcoming reception for Ms. Suwanai by inviting members of MPO, representatives of sponsor companies and people from music industries.
