Ambassador Shikata visited Nengajyo 2025, Japanese New Year’s Postcard Exhibition

2024/12/20
On December 17th, Ambassador Shikata visited Nengajyo 2025, Japanese New Year’s Postcard Exhibition, held at ILHAM Gallery.

The Embassy of Japan in Malaysia and MJBB CREATIVE SERVICES co-hosted this event which introduces Nengajo and Japanese New Year traditions, including a display of New Year's cards, stamps and traditional Japanese New Year items, Nengajo-making workshops, and calligraphy workshops.

Nengajo is a Japanese traditional new year's greeting card. In Japan, many people post Nengajo before the end of the year so that they arrive on New Year's Day. With Nengajyo, you can express your gratitude to your friends, relatives, colleagues, clients and anyone for all the things that they have done for you in the past year, as well as hoping for their continued support in the coming year.

Please come and join the event to experience the charm of Japanese New Year traditions.
