Courtesy Call by Ambassador Oka on Datuk Richard Riot anak Jaem, Prime Minister’s Special Envoy to Japan, South Korea and Taiwan

On the 21st of July, Ambassador Oka made a courtesy call on Datuk Richard Riot anak Jaem, Prime Minister’s Special Envoy to Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. At the meeting, Ambassador Oka congratulated on his appointment to the special envoy in May and stated that he would like to further develop the cordial bilateral relations founded by people-to-people exchanges guided by the Look East Policy over long years, and brisk trade and investment.
In response, Datuk Richard expressed his appreciation for the courtesy visit and said that he would like to further promote cooperative relations of the two countries including more investment from Japan. They shared the experience of countermeasures against the COPVID-19 of respective countries and had a fruitful exchange of views on concrete cooperation between Japan and Malaysia in various fields.
