Signing of the Grant Contract between Embassy of Japan and a Malaysian NGO under the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects

The Government of Japan decided to extend grant aid to the Beautiful Gate Foundation for the Disabled under its Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects Scheme.

The grant contract between the Embassy of Japan and the Beautiful Gate Foundation for the Disabled as signed on 20th March 2019 at the Embassy of Japan.

  1. The Project for Equipping Physiotherapy Facilities for Persons with Disabilities and for the Community

(1). Recipient: Beautiful Gate Foundation for the Disabled

(2). Grant amount: USD 9,994 (RM 40,185.87)

(3). Project Details
The Beautiful Gate Foundation for the Disabled will procure the grant to purchase physiotherapy facilities in order to provide physiotherapy for persons with Disabilities (PWDs) residence and neighbouring PWDs and elderly people. These facilities will contribute their healthy life.

(Summary of Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects)
The Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects is given out to support small but socially important projects at the grassroots level for non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and local governments. Since 1989, the Government of Japan has contributed about RM17.4 million to 148 projects in Malaysia.
