Ambassador Shikata attended the AFS gathering event

On 18 December, Ambassador Shikata attended the AFS gathering event and encouraged 10 Malaysian high school students of Asia Kakehashi Project 2024 and 8 Japanese high school students of AFS program. Ambassador Shikata also talked about his own experience of studying abroad through AFS program, and expressed his hopes that the students would make the most of their study abroad experience and go on to achieve great things in the future.
 
The Asia Kakehashi Project provides study abroad opportunities for Asian high school students studying Japanese, and 123 students from Malaysia have participated in the program. In addition, through AFS programs, 910 Malaysians have studied in Japan and 158 Japanese have studied in Malaysia.
