Official visit to Sabah by Ambassador Takahashi

From 21^st to 23^rd March, Ambassador Takahashi made an official visit to Sabah and paid courtesy calls on Tun Datuk Seri Panglima Dr.Haji Juhar Bin Datuk Haji Mahiruddin，Head of State of Sabah, and YAB Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Mohd Noor, the Chief Minister of Sabah.
 
At the meeting, Ambassador Takahashi reaffirmed the long-standing friendship between Japan and Sabah, discussed the expansion of Japanese businesses and the 40^th Anniversary of the Look East Policy. Leadership of Sabah expressed hope for an increase in Japanese tourists after the opening of the border on 1^st April.
 
Ambassador Takahashi and his wife visited Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force　vessels calling at the Port of Kota Kinabalu, as well as the Yanmar Kota Kinabalu R&D Center and Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park(KKIP), where they exchanged views with relevant stakeholders.
 
During the visit, Ambassador Takahashi met with the The Japan Club of Kota Kinabalu and expressed his appreciation for their proactive activities as the bridges between Japan and Sabah.
