Talk Session by Author Daisuke Aizawa

On 20th December, the Embassy of Japan in Malaysia, the Japan Foundation, Kuala Lumpur and the Comic Fiesta Executive Committee co-hosted a talk session by author Daisuke Aizawa at Comic Fiesta 2025, which is the famous ACG (Anime, Comic and Game) event in Malaysia.
Comic Fiesta is one of the largest events not only in Malaysia but also in Southeast Asia, focusing on anime, comics, and games, with a history of over 20 years.
Mr. Aizawa is the author of the popular series “The Eminence in Shadow,” which has sold over 6.5 million copies across the series and has been adapted into multiple media platforms, including comics, anime, and film, captivating fans around the world. The talk stage attracted a large number of enthusiastic fans, who listened attentively to behind-the-scenes stories about the creative process.
In addition, on 23rd December, another talk session was held, co-hosted by the Embassy of Japan, the Japan Foundation, Kuala Lumpur, and Nippon Designers School Malaysia College, for students of the collage as well as the general public. During the Q&A session, many questions were raised by students and other audience members, including those aspiring to become future creators.
We sincerely thank all participants for their enthusiastic engagement. It is hoped that this event will further enhance interest in Japanese pop culture in Malaysia and deepen cultural exchange between Japan and Malaysia.
