On 25th November, Ambassador Oka together with Consal General Kanoya in Penang attended the Prize Presentation Ceremony of Malaysia TORAY Science Foundation (MTSF). Ambassador Oka delivered congratulatory speech to the awardees and expressed his appreciation to MTSF. Ambassador Oka also awarded the “Japanese Foreign Minister’s Commendations 2019” to MTSF for its long-term contributions to the development of Malaysia and promotion of cordial Japan – Malaysia relations. YB Puan Yeo Bee Yin, Minister of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment & Climate Change (MESTECC) joined this event.
For the development of Malaysia’s science and technology, Malaysia Toray Science Foundation has been offering financial assistance to researchers, as well as awarding prizes to outstanding accomplishments in science, technology, and science education since 1993 counting 26th time this year.
