Ambassador Takahashi joined “Selamat Pagi Malaysia”

On February 23, Ambassador Takahashi joined RTM’s morning show “Selamat Pagi Malaysia”. Ambassador was also interviewed by a separate RTM crew after joining the show.
During the show, Ambassador mentioned that today, February 23, was the birthday of His Majesty the Emperor Naruhito. Ambassador then referred to His Majesty’s New Year message for this year mentioning the importance of basing our efforts to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic on people-to-people connection: a message Ambassador will always keep in mind, as Ambassador of Japan to Malaysia to enhance connections between the people of Japan and Malaysia.
Ambassador also expressed his hope to take the 40th anniversary of the Look East Policy as an opportunity to re-enhance the cooperation with those involved in supporting Japan-Malaysia relations. This will be done through various events commemorating the LEP40, aiming to develop lasting friendship and cooperation between our two countries.
