Courtesy call on the Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industries

On 27th April, Ambassador Oka paid a courtesy call on YBhg Dato’ Haslina binti Abdul Hamid, Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industries. At the meeting, Ambassador Oka explained to YBhg Dato’ Haslina about Japan’s cooperation in capacity building to enhance the safety of and add value to agricultural products, collaboration between agricultural research institutions of both countries and trade in agricultural products including the import of Japanese Wagyu beef. Ambassador Oka and YBhg Dato’ Haslina agreed to strengthen cooperation between Japan and Malaysia in the field of agriculture and food industries. Dato’ Haslina, who studied in Japan, delighted Ambassador Oka with her use of some Japanese expressions/words during the meeting.
