From 21st to 24th in September, Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT) held MJIIT-JACTIM Virtual Japanese Companies Career Fair 2021 in collaboration with Japanese Chamber of Trade and Industry, Malaysia (JACTIM) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Malaysia. The fair was attended by more than 200 students from University of Technology Malaysia (UTM) including MJIIT and 22 companies, which are seeking to recruit Malaysian science and engineering students.
At the opening ceremony on the first day of the fair, Ambassador Oka delivered his appreciation and gratitude to UTM and MJIIT for organizing this timely and valuable event, and emphasized the importance of this fair from the aspects of both success in Malaysia for Japanese companies and career development for highly specialized Malaysian students.
Even though this was the first career fair for MJIIT, there are many positive feedback on it as follows.
“The input was very interesting, and I liked listening to the sharing sessions.”
“Very good platform for the job-seekers and I’m personally really thankful to the organizers/companies to accomplish this event.”
“The career fair helped to broaden knowledge of manufacturing or processing industry available in Malaysia and Japan. “
The Embassy hopes that this fair would be a good opportunity to promote employment matching between Japanese companies and Malaysian students.
