On 26th September, Ambassador Shikata Noriyuki attended AEON’s 42nd Anniversary Largest Kimono Gathering.
Ambassador Shikata delivered a speech at the ceremony, noting the great significance of AEON company with Japanese roots creating opportunities to introduce Japanese culture in Malaysia.
There are over 30 AEON stores in the area, and this year marks the company’s 42nd anniversary. As part of the 42nd Anniversary celebrations, AEON Mall Shah Alam hosted events such as a kimono show, whilst at our booth we conducted workshops on calligraphy, the tea ceremony, and origami, and the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) presented information about Japan.
