2021/10/28
On October 26, Ambassador Oka received a courtesy call from Ms Aida Nur Ariza Binti Ariffuddin, the sixth Coordinator for International Relations (CIR) of the JET Programme to be dispatched to Hioki City, Kagoshima Prefecture.
In 2012, Hioki City and Subang Jaya City, Selangor, signed a Friendship City Agreement. So far, five Malaysians have worked in Hioki City as CIRs.
Ambassador Oka expressed his hope that Ms Aida would endeavour to further promote cultural exchanges between Japan and Malaysia in the light of fact that next year will be the 40 years since the launch of “Look East Policy”, and wished her all the best to promote Malaysian culture through her activities as a CIR in Hioki City.
