Signing ceremony of the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects 2021

The Government of Japan has awarded the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects 2021 to the Rotary BRDB Trust with Registered Trustees (NGO). The signing ceremony of the Grant Contract has been held at the residence of the Ambassador of Japan to Malaysia, H.E. Mr TAKAHASHI Katsuhiko.
An overview of the project is given below.
<The project for expanding orphanage>
Recipient:Rotary BRDB Trust with Registered Trustees
Grant amount:USD 93,755 (equivalent to 387,020 Malaysian Ringgit)
Items:Renovation Fee for the orphanage
Purpose:The grant will be used to build a living skills classroom and extend the basement dormitory for its children’s home located in Seri Kembangan; enabling the NGO to accommodate more children at risk, and provide opportunities for them to access online schooling via a computer lab and to learn life skills such as needlework and tailoring, woodwork and carpentry.
