2023 Spring Conferment of Decorations

On the 29th of April, the Government of Japan announced recipients of decorations for the 2023 Spring Imperial Conferment. Among the recipients, the following are the dignitaries within the area of jurisdiction of the Embassy of Japan in Malaysia, who receive decorations for their outstanding contributions to Japan-Malaysia relationships:
1. Dato’ Wan Latiff Wan Musa
*Former Chief Executive Officer of Malaysia External Trade Development Cooperation (MATRADE)
*Former Director of Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board (MTPB) Tokyo Office
Services: Contributed to strengthening bilateral relations between Japan and Malaysia in the field of trade development and tourism
Decoration: The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon
2. Dr. Zoraida Binti Mustafa
*Associate Professor, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM)
*Former Head of Japanese Language and Cultural Centre, Faculty of Major Language Studies, USIM
Services: Contributed to promoting Japanese language education in Malaysia and mutual understanding between Japan and Malaysia
Decoration: The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays
