Ambassador Shikata Attends Jiji Press-Hosted Dialogue Event

On 28 April, H.E. Noriyuki Shikata, Ambassador of Japan to Malaysia, attended a dialogue event hosted by Jiji Press and exchanged views with YM Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Aziz, Chairman of the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), on Malaysia-Japan economic cooperation.
The session discussed cooperation in areas that contribute to Malaysia’s industrial upgrading and economic resilience, including supply chain resilience, energy security, green transformation, semiconductors, digitalisation, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing.
The dialogue also reaffirmed the importance of further strengthening Japan-Malaysia industrial collaboration through quality investment in high-value sectors such as energy, supply chains, the green economy, digital, semiconductors, and aerospace.
The Embassy of Japan in Malaysia will continue working closely with MIDA and other Malaysian stakeholders to promote quality investment, industrial cooperation, and sustainable growth.
