Congratulatory Letter from Foreign Minister of Japan MOTEGI to Dato’ Saifuddin Abdullah, Foreign Minister of Malaysia

On 30th August, Mr MOTEGI Toshimitsu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, sent a congratulatory letter to His Excellency Dato’ Saifuddin Abdullah on his assumption of office as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia after the inauguration ceremony.
In his letter, Minister Motegi stated that, he looks forward to working closely with His Excellency to further strengthen the bilateral ties between Malaysia and Japan towards the 40th anniversary of Look East Policy and the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Malaysia and Japan in 2022, especially in tackling COVID-19 pandemic and realizing the “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” and “ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific.”
