Courtesy call on Ambassador Takahashi by the WHO Representative to Malaysia

On 30 March, Ambassador Takahashi received a courtesy call from Dr. Rabindra Abeyasinghe, the WHO Representative to Malaysia.
During the meeting, Dr. Rabindra expressed his gratitude for the various support from Japan to WHO, including the project, such as “Enhancing adherence to public health and social measures”, “Supporting risk communication and community engagement activities”, “Supporting vaccination in hard-to-reach areas, communities and population” and “Strengthening an integrated infectious diseases surveillance system”, to be implemented soon in Malaysia under the Japanese’s budget. Both parties also exchanged views on various issues in Malaysia, such as COVID-19 situation, aging society and health system reform. They agreed to continue working together for the benefit of Malaysian from health perspectives.
