Ambassador Takahashi's attendance at the opening of the Cryptocurrency Analysis Laboratory

On 31 May, Ambassador Takahashi attended the opening of the Cryptocurrency Analysis Laboratory co-organised by the CCID (Commercial Crime Investigation Department of the RMP) and UNODC (United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime).
The Lab was established with part of Japan's voluntary contribution as part of its assistance to strengthen the capacity of criminal justice authorities to investigate and prosecute cybercrime related to cryptocurrencies. At the launch ceremony, the Japanese were thanked for their support. Ambassador Takahashi congratulated the establishment of the Lab and expressed his wish for continued cooperation between Japan and Malaysia in the fight against cybercrime in Malaysia.
