Recruitment of a local staff (Full-time) at the Embassy of Japan in Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur

Job Description

• Assist diplomats in Economic section. (Mainly but not limited in the field of Agriculture including trade promotion, Economic cooperation, Infrastructure, Climate change, Maritime cooperation)
• Translate news articles and other documents that are written in Chinese into English or Japanese.
• Undertake research and collection of data and information related to economic affairs.
• Perform other functions as assigned by officers in Economic section.

 
Requirements

• Malaysian citizen or those who hold a qualified status to work in Malaysia
• Native-level writing and speaking proficiency in English and Chinese (proficiency in Japanese is highly favorable)
• Bachelor degree or above
• Standard office computer literacy and communication skills
• Extensive knowledge/experience in economy and business of Malaysia

 
Start of Employment

• November 2023 onwards

 
Regular Working Hours

• 8:30am – 4:30pm on weekdays (Lunch break: 12:30pm – 1:30pm), except for the Embassy’s closing days

 
Salary

• To be determined in accordance to the Embassy’s regulations based on education background, experience and other ability
