The Political Section of the Embassy of Japan in Malaysia is seeking a local staff member (Domestic Political Analyst) responsible for analyzing Malaysia's political and domestic affairs. This is a key position serving as the Domestic Analysis Leader within the Political Section's local staff team, contributing to the formulation of Japan's foreign policy.

Monday through Friday (excluding Embassy holidays), 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
(Lunch break: 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.)

To be determined in accordance with Embassy regulations, based on educational background, experience, and qualifications.
6. Selection Process
Document screening → Written examination (political analysis) and Interview

- Information gathering and network building with political figures, experts, media organizations, and other relevant parties
- Coordination of other local staff members' work as Domestic Analysis Leader
- Other general duties within the Political Section
2. Qualifications
[Required]
- Malaysian citizenship
- Ability to write documents and communicate in English
- Strong interest in Malaysia's political and social affairs
- Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia or Chinese
- PC skills (Word, Excel, etc.)

- University or graduate-level degree with a major in political science, law, international relations, public policy, or related fields
- Experience in domestic political analysis or political research at an embassy, consulate, think tank, research/consulting firm, media organization, or similar institution
