Recruitment of a domestic staff (Full-time) at Japanese Ambassador’s Residence, Kuala Lumpur

The Embassy of Japan in Malaysia invites applications for the position of a domestic staff at Japanese Ambassador’s Residence.
 
All applicants should send the following documents to the General Affairs and Protocol of the Embassy of Japan in Malaysia by email (genaffairs-1@kl.mofa.go.jp) by 13^th April, 2026.
 

1. Resume with a passport sized photograph(35mm(w)×45mm(h))
2. A copy of Identification card or Datapage of Passport
3. A copy of Graduation Certificate

 
After checking the documents, the Embassy will conduct interviews for selection. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
  
Job Description

• Housekeeping and cleaning at Japanese Ambassador’s residence (Kuala Lumpur)
• Serving food and drinks on the occasion of meals and lunch/dinner functions
• Preparing for functions at the Residence and cleaning up afterward

 
Start of Employment
May 2026
 
Requirements

• Malaysian Citizen or those who hold a qualified status to work in Malaysia (e.g. permanent resident, residence pass holder, spouse visa holder)
• Good command of English
• Able to handle non-Halal food (alcohol, pork, etc) and beef
• Able to commute to Ambassador’s residence located in Kuala Lumpur (we do not provide staff quarter to live in)

 
Salary

• To be determined in accordance with the Embassy’s regulations, based on the applicant’s education, experience and ability.
