Japan Pavilion Exhibition at MIHAS 2026

2026/9/25
The Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) 2026, one of the world’s largest halal-related trade exhibitions, is being held from 23 to 26 September at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur.

At this year’s MIHAS, the Embassy of Japan in Malaysia and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) are jointly presenting the Japan Pavilion. The pavilion showcases Japanese food products, including halal-certified products, as well as the efforts of Japanese companies to expand their businesses in Malaysia and other Muslim markets.

On 23 September, Ambassador Shikata Noriyuki visited the Japan Pavilion and toured the booths of participating Japanese companies. He received explanations about their products, efforts to obtain halal certification, and plans to expand into Malaysia and other Muslim markets. He also exchanged views with the exhibitors.

The visit provided an opportunity to learn more about Japanese companies’ efforts in halal markets and the potential for further overseas expansion of Japanese food products.

The Embassy of Japan in Malaysia will continue to work closely with JETRO and other relevant organizations to promote exports of Japanese food products and the wider appreciation of Japanese cuisine overseas.
