Ambassador Oka had a Courtesy call on Minister of International Trade and Industry

On the 23rd April, Ambassador Oka paid a courtesy call on Y.B. Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, Minister of International Trade and Industry, and expressed Japan’s firm solidarity with Malaysia in the fight against novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
Ambassador Oka also stated the contribution of 1,400 Japanese companies in Malaysia to Malaysian economy under MCO, and the importance of Malaysia in the global supply chains and discussed the importance of the activities of Japanese companies in Malaysia for the global supply chains.
In addition, Ambassador Oka also exchanged views about bilateral cooperation toward economic revitalization in the post-COVID-19 period and international economic issues such as APEC.
