Japan Premium Sake Association Tasting Event in Malaysia

On 25 July, the Embassy of Japan in Malaysia organized a 'Japan Premium Sake Association Tasting Event' at the Japanese Ambassador's residence in collaboration with the Japan Premium Sake Association and JETRO Kuala Lumpur.
32 sake breweries from the Japan Premium Sake Association participated in the event and more than 100 guests including those from the food and beverage related businesses enjoyed the sake tasting.
Ambassador Takahashi, in his opening address, stated that it was unprecedented to have so many breweries gathered under one roof in Malaysia and expressed hope to further enhance the understanding of Japanese food culture in Malaysia as well as expand sake exports.
On 26 July, JETRO Kuala Lumpur also hosted a business meeting between sake breweries and Malaysian food and beverage-related businesses. The Embassy of Japan in Malaysia will continue to promote the understanding of Japanese food culture in cooperation with JETRO and industry associations.
