Malaysia Japan Discourse Project 2018 Academic Conference “Malaysia-Japan Historical Relation: from history to a new Kizuna”

Malaysia Japan Discourse Project 2018 Academic Conference “Malaysia-Japan Historical Relation: from history to a new Kizuna” led by the University Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) was held on 4 December, and Minister Orikasa, Deputy Chief of Mission, attended and delivered his speech during its opening. Malaysia Japan Discourse Project 2018 was a series of programme to learn from Japanese history, culture and values and to discuss Japan-Malaysia history, present and future. The project consisted of three series, and Japanese speakers were invited to each event. The Academic Conference was the summit of the project.

“Kekehashi Book Talk” for the general public was held on 27 October to kick off the project, followed by an education camp and a public talk for students on 3 and 24 November. Ms Kurihara, Director of Japan Information Service, attended the series of the project.
