On 9th May, the Embassy of Japan hosted a presentation ceremony of the Japanese Foreign Minister’s Commendation for Dr. Jamila Binti Mohd, Head of Malaysia-Japan Research Centre (MJRC), Universiti Malaya.
Dr. Jamila taught Japanese language to a number of students at AAJ (special preparatory program to enter Japanese universities), Universiti Malaya and assisted them to prepare going to Japan. Dr. Jamila has also played a central role in promoting Japan studies as the Head of Malaysia-Japan Research Centre, Universiti Malaya. The award honors her outstanding contribution to strengthening relations between Japan and Malaysia.
