Courtesy call by Malaysia Origami Association on Ambassador Oka

On 15th March 2021, Ambassador Oka received a courtesy call from Chairman Kenneth Ch’ng, and Mr. Sam Yap of Malaysia Origami Association. They presented the world’s first origami durian to Ambassador. The artwork took 45 hours to make using a decorated piece of paper to resemble the real king of fruits.
Mr. Kenneth who is also the founder of the Malaysia Origami Academy, is dedicated to widely promote origami in Malaysia through many channels. He hopes to demonstrate origami’s potential application, beyond cultural and recreational purposes, in various industrial fields including space engineering, architectural and many more.
