On 16 July, the Japanese Chamber of Trade & Industry, Malaysia (JACTIM), represented by Its president, Mr. Kojima, donated cold storage boxes and medical deep freezers for vaccination worth at approximately RM 800,000 to YB Dato' Sri Dr. Adham Bin Baba, Minister of Health through JACTIM Foundation with presence of Ambassador Oka.
This donation is a token of the longstanding friendship between Japan and Malaysia.
These items have already been delivered to the designated hospitals and clinics in KL and Selangor and are contributing to acceleration of vaccination program in Malaysia.
In addition to approximately 1 million doses of AZ vaccine donation, Japan has provided various assistance to Malaysia during the pandemic including emergency assistance to people in need and grant cooperation to provide advanced medical equipment.
We sincerely hope such support for Malaysia through the public and private sectors will contribute to protecting people’s lives as well as boosting the economic recovery.
We work hand-in-hand with Malaysia to overcome the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
