2026/2/20
On 5th February, Minister Nihei Daisuke attended the Ambang Asuhan Jepun (AAJ) Graduation Ceremony and delivered a congratulatory speech.

AAJ is a preparatory education program for Malaysian students under the Look East Policy, primarily those aiming to pursue studies in science and engineering at Japanese universities. In addition to intensive Japanese language education, AAJ provides foundational instruction in mathematics, physics, and chemistry, as well as courses on Japanese culture and university life in Japan, and has long contributed to promoting people-to-people exchanges between Japan and Malaysia.

In his remarks, Minister Nihei referred to the important role AAJ has played under the Look East Policy, noting that many of its alumni are now actively contributing as bridges between Japan and Malaysia in a wide range of fields, including government, industry, and academia. He also expressed high expectations that the graduates would further develop their expertise through their studies in Japan and go on to become frontrunners of the next generation of Japan–Malaysia relations.
