Pusat Bahasa Teikyo (PBT) Graduation Ceremony (Look East Policy Students)
2026/2/20
On 12th February, Minister Nihei Daisuke attended the Graduation Ceremony for the Look East Policy students at Pusat Bahasa Teikyo (PBT) and delivered a congratulatory speech.
PBT has long provided education based on Japanese language proficiency and cross-cultural understanding to young Malaysians aspiring to study in Japan—particularly students in the arts and social sciences—as part of its cooperation with the Malaysian government’s Look East Policy.
In his remarks, Minister Nihei referred to PBT’s long-standing contribution to nurturing many talented individuals, noting that graduates who broadened their perspectives through their studies in Japan have gone on to play active roles in a wide range of fields in Malaysia, including government, public administration, and business, standing at the forefront of Japan–Malaysia friendship.
Minister Nihei also encouraged the graduates to deepen their academic learning through their studies in Japan and to gain valuable insights from Japanese society and culture. Furthermore, he expressed his strong hope that, after completing their studies and returning to Malaysia, the graduates would make use of the knowledge, experience, and personal networks they acquired in Japan to contribute to Malaysia’s development and to the further strengthening of Japan–Malaysia relations.
