Ambassador Oka attended the 4th Selangor ASEAN Business Conference (SABC)

On 15 December,Ambassador Oka attended the Selangor State Government’s annual 4th Selangor ASEAN Business Conference (SABC) virtually as a Panel Speaker with the High Commissioner of Australia to Malaysia and the High Commissioner of Australia to Singapore.
In the panel discussion,Ambassador Oka highlighted the importance of,accelerating digitalization and enhancing supply chain resilience by diversification of the production base due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Ambassador Oka also stated that the Government of Japan provided support to corporates in activities to enhance their supply chain resilience and collaborate with ASEAN companies utilizing digital technology.
In addition,he mentioned that the RCEP which was signed with 15 countries in November would benefit Malaysia as it would further enhance market access and introduce free and fair rules to the region. Japan will continue to cooperate with Malaysia to enhance Malaysia’s competitiveness.
