Ambassador Takahashi attended the Opening Ceremony of the Sustainable Scheduled Waste Treatment Centre by J&T Berjaya Alam Murni Sdn Bhd

On 13th March, Ambassador Takahashi attended the opening ceremony of the Sustainable Scheduled Waste Treatment Centre (SSWTC) in Bukit Tagar, Selangor.

The Sustainable Scheduled Waste Treatment Centre is a joint project by Japanese (J&T Recycling Corporation and JFE Engineering Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.) and Malaysian (Berjaya Enviro Holdings Sdn. Bhd) companies. From the Malaysian Government, representatives from DOE (Department of Environment), MIDA (Malaysian Investment Development Authority) and MGTC (Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Corporation) attended the ceremony.

In the speech, Ambassador Takahashi described that the operation of SSWTC would contribute to the improvement of waste management as well as to solving the environmental and energy issues in Malaysia. The Ambassador also said that this new facility will open a new page in the relationship between both countries.
