On 23rd February, Minister Nihei Daisuke, the Embassy of Japan, attended the handover ceremony of a 3D printer from the Rotary Club of Tsukuba Sunrise and the Rotary Club of Tsuchiura to the Malaysian Association for the Blind (MAB).

MAB is a non-profit organization that supports visually impaired individuals in Malaysia through providing services such as vocational training, rehabilitation, braille materials, and community-based support.

The Rotary Club of Tsukuba Sunrise and the Rotary Club of Tsuchiura, with technical support from Tsukuba University of Technology, donated a 3D printer to MAB and provided training to local staff and teachers on operating the 3D printer and teaching methods utilizing it, aiming to improve the quality of education for visually impaired individuals in Malaysia.

In his address at the ceremony, Minister Nihei expressed his hope that this project would support MAB in promoting the economic independence and social participation of visually impaired individuals, contribute to enhancing the social welfare of communities, and strengthen the friendship between Japan and Malaysia.
