2018 Spring Conferment of Decorations on Foreign Nationals

    On the 29th of April, the Government of Japan announced foreign national recipients of decorations for the 2018 spring conferment. Among them, the following are the dignitaries within the area of jurisdiction of the Embassy of Japan who receive decorations for their outstanding contributions:

Decoration: Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun

2. Tan Sri Mohd Sidek Hassan

*Chairman of PETRONAS
Services: Contributed to promoting economic relations between Japan and Malaysia
Decoration: The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star

3. Dato’ Zulkifli Abdul Malek
*Former President of Alumni Look East Policy Society (ALEPS)
Services: Contributed to promoting cultural exchange and mutual understanding between Japan and Malaysia

4. Tan Sri, Dato' Dr. Francis Yeoh Sock Ping
