JENESYS 2018 (Japan’s Friendship Ties Program*) – Outbound Program for Japanese high school students to Malaysia

       As part of JENESYS 2018, 16 Japanese high school students from Shinonoi Senior High School, Nagano, visited Malaysia from 5 to 12 March, 2019. On 6 March, they paid courtesy visits to the Embassy of Japan and the Ministry of Youth and Sports. School exchange programmes with SMK Seri Bintang Selatan and SMK Yaakob Latiff, a site visit of Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers (JOCVs)’ activities and others were arranged during their stay. The students gave presentations on their outcomes and action plans at the reporting session on 12 March, where Ms Kurihara, Director of Japan Information Service, attended from the Embassy of Japan and made some comments. The participants of JENESYS 2018 are hoped to implement their action plans, continuously disseminate information about Japan and contribute to the further friendship and exchanges between Japan and Malaysia.
